second anniversary part 2: puppy vacation

For our second anniversary, Steve and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to a real hidden gem in Brown County - Story Inn.  You can read Part 1 of our trip here.  Since Story Inn is pet-friendly, we took Lyla with us and she had an absolute ball.

We hadn’t stayed in a hotel with her before, so we were a little nervous about how it would work out.  We brought her crate with us and set it up in the room - it was all she needed to feel at home.  Even though she ended up hanging out on the bed most of the time...

We walked the grounds a lot, which Lyla loved.  She was in her element.

The most exciting part of the trip for Lyla, though, was meeting horses for the first time.  She didn’t know what to make of them, and alternated between growling at them, cautiously licking their snouts and hiding behind me.  It was hilarious.

Brave little girl.  Haha.  I’m pretty sure she loved her puppy vacation.  The trip was a success for all three of us.
